Steam Ovens make life easier when it comes to getting the most out of your cooking. How? They make food more delicious, reduce cooking time, and help prevent food from drying out. It’s incredible how adding steam can do all this and more, without a complicated process. At Westinghouse, we’re all about simple, stress-free cooking, and our ovens with SteamAssist are just one way we achieve this. If you’re new to steam ovens, we’ve got the do’s and don’ts to be mindful of straight from our Westinghouse cooking experts.

DO: TRY NEW DISHES IN THE STEAM OVEN
One of the best parts about owning a Westinghouse steam oven is that they are so versatile, and you can add steam to pretty much any dish you’re cooking to make it more crispy, succulent or fluffy. Whether it’s an easy weeknight pasta bake or a weekend homemade pizza night with friends, you can be certain that adding steam is the easiest and most reliable way to make sure your favourite dish tastes even better. DON’T: ONLY COOK WITH FOOD THAT’S TYPICALLY STEAMED
Everyone knows veggies work well steamed, but that’s not all the Westinghouse Steam Oven can do. In fact, we’ve got settings specifically designed for baking to cover all cooking needs. The EasyBake + Steam function means your bread, cake, pastry, scones and puddings – whatever it is you are baking – will have a fluffier centre, a better rise and crispier crust.
DO: USE STEAM TO REHEAT DISHES
Give leftovers new life with the Steam Reheat function in our ovens. It means you can reheat a quick lunch or dinner from the night before without over cooking the meal, to taste as if they were just made, minimising the need for a microwave.
DON’T: BE AFRAID OF MAKING MESS
Think of that meal you’ve always wanted to cook but have continuously pushed back because of the clean up process after. Selected Westinghouse Steam Ovens use a PyroClean clean function, so there will be no nasty chemicals and mess to deal with after – you just need to remove the trays and racks and select the PyroClean function. Your oven will do all the heavy-duty work, leaving you to only wipe away the residue. Saving time on both cooking and cleaning? Yes, please!
